December 23, 2014, 03:26 PM Movies, Parody, Politics, SocietyIf "The Interview" is released on Christmas Day and is in a nearby theater I'll pay to go see it or watch it on Video On Demand if available. Not because I wanted to watch it, it looks like a silly movie that I normally would of waited to view afterwards on streaming video. I want to watch it to show support for the idea of artistic freedom unencumbered by any threats of censorship, terrorism activity, or otherwise.

We can't allow ourselves to be coerced in this manner here in the United States and let anyone suppress free speech. I agree with President Obama when he stated: "…ceding to the demands of hackers sets a dangerous precedent that could encourage a culture of intimidation and self-censorship… That's not who we are. That's not what America is about."
